The
story of Arc Angels metal art work is a two part story.
First, there are the original iron, steel and aluminum
art products created by Bill Coleman. Coleman has over
30 years experience in the design and fabrication of
architectural metal products. He was awarded a United
States Patent for inventing a unique aluminum railing
system. The Arc Angels sales office is located in beautiful
Dunedin, Florida with fabrication facilities in Clearwater,
Florida.
Second,
there are the meticulous, limited edition reproductions
crafted by the Arc Angels team of fabricators. Iron
and aluminum are cut and shaped into beautiful and intricate
patterns which become metal tables with glass and stone
tops, chairs, wall hangings, mirrors and picture frames,
wine racks, display racks and other decorative metal
items.

The
wrought iron, bronze and aluminum arrive as lifeless bars
and rods. Sometimes roughly formed pieces purchased and
then transformed into beautiful works of art by hammer
and fire.

In
their final form, the art metal products are reproduced
and displayed in the finest homes, offices and buildings.
A bright imagination is behind every finished metal art.
Usually the work starts with a rough sketch on paper.
Sometimes a client will supply a photograph or share their
vision and ideas with our designers.

Each
artwork starts with small pieces and a basic structure.
(photos of an individual rough piece, Bill welding with
mask, and a rough table) The small pieces are welded together
to form dining tables, coffee tables, side tables, chairs,
thrones, wall hanging, mirrors and picture frames, wine
racks, flower pot displays, coat racks, magazine racks,
wall decorations and an almost endless variety of other
decorative metal items.
The
finished product will be beautiful but it must also be
functional. The table legs may be simple or ornate, but
they are functional too.

The
art is in the details. Sometimes the details look like
something produced in King Authur’s realm and sometime
the detail is simplistically modern.

After
the metal work is finished, then the art metal is off
to the paint shop. The paint may be one color with many
coats to protect and add luster. Other times painters
will spend hours in elaborate, multi colored layers.
For
chairs there are leather and cloth seats and backs. For
tables there are marble, granite, slate, glass or other
exotic stone tops.

top and base shoes. The center has hand forged starburst
leaf pattern with twisted metal rope. This is a true one
of a kind piece.

The
art takes time, experience, expensive tools and imagination.
In the end it’s all worth the effort when raw materials
are transformed into art, which will add beauty and value
to your home or office, forever.
